 In a relatively short time, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the American University in Dubai has established itself as the premier engineering program in the region. Multiple accreditations by the UAE and US regulatory bodies, as well as ABET accreditation of our Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering Programs are affirmations of our continued commitment to providing a world-class engineering education to our students. The strength of our programs is also evident by the success of our graduates, many of whom are actively recruited by local companies, while others have secured admissions to graduate programs in some of the most prestigious universities in North America and Europe.
Our faculty members emphasize a rigorous, disciplined and hands-on approach to engineering education. We also strive to ensure that in addition to acquiring the required knowledge and skills in their field, our students will be able to think critically and creatively, develop problem-solving skills and become lifelong learners. We also hope to instill and nurture in our students the sense of the curiosity about the world around us, which has been the inspiration for choosing an engineering career for most of us in the first place.
